PAST

White Mortuary was established in 1924 by Ella M. White, for whom the business is still named. The business was originally located in a store front building on Shoshone Street. In 1937, Mrs. White and her son-in-law Hugh U. Phillips built the present facility at 136 4th Avenue East. In 1925 the average cost of a funeral service in Twin Falls was $261.00, and the most common cause of death was pneumonia or heart trouble.
